Serious crash on SH5 Rangitaiki

State Highway 5 at Rangitaiki has now reopened following a serious crash this morning.

Emergency services are at the scene of a serious two-vehicle crash near the township.

Police were called about 11.30am. 

“Initial indications are there have been serious injuries,” a Police spokesperson said.

The road was closed until about 1.30pm but NZTA is now advising motorists that the road has reopened.
