Intersection complete on Tauhara Rd

The Taupō District Council has now finished work on the Tauhara Road and AC Baths Avenue roundabout.

In a social media post the council said there were some late nights and a few heavy downpours to content with during construction, but the project was completed a couple of weeks ahead of schedule.

It follows recent work on the more modest Taharepa Road and Crown Road roundabout in October. Ta project also included an upgrade to carparks in the adjacent shopping precinct.

The next step is to complete the Taharepa Road upgrade with a road reseal between the Tauhara Shops and Te Hātepe Road in January 2026.

The next roundabout on the list is the Rifle Range Rd, Te Heu Heu St and Mere St intersection.
