Change of ownership for Ford dealership

Neil Dempsey IS staying on at the Taupō Ford dealership with a new role as Dealer Principal.

Ingham Group has bought two Ford dealerships in Rotorua and Taupō.

The company has bought Central Motor Group’s Taupō Ford dealership, further expanding the large family-owned Inghams Group.

Taupō locals will see a familiar face leading the way with Neil Dempsey staying on at the Taupō Ford dealership with a new role as Dealer Principal.

Neil is a long-time automotive professional who is well-known across the region from his time at Ingham Taupō’s Honda and Suzuki site.

“His experience and connection to the community make him a natural fit to guide the dealership forward,” says Ingham Group managing director Trent Ingham.

The return of service manager Daryl Gwatkin to the Taupō site also brings valuable experience and continuity to the operation, Trent says.

Ford New Zealand managing director Annaliese Atina says they are thrilled to welcome Ingham Motor Group to the Ford New Zealand family.

"Ingham Motor Group has a long-standing reputation for excellence, customer satisfaction, and deep community involvement across New Zealand.”

The change of ownership took effect on December 1.

Ingham Motor Group is one of New Zealand's largest car dealers and is a family-owned business established in 1968.
