Volunteers underpin vibrant community
Tremains is the new Naming Rights Sponsor for the Volunteer Service Awards.
The awards recognise the dedication and contributions of volunteers from across the district.
Tremains managing director Simon Tremain says they are “incredibly proud” to be sponsoring the awards.
“Volunteers are the backbone of vibrant communities. Their selfless efforts deserve to be recognised, celebrated, and supported — and we’re honoured to help make that happen.”
Tremains was founded in Hawke’s Bay by All Black great Kel Tremain, flanker, who had 38 full caps for the All Blacks between 1959-1968.
Tremains has since expanded into provincial centres including Taupō.
Simon said the company has a strong focus on supporting and uplifting the communities it serves.
They also sponsor the Tremains Santa Parade and do other community work through the Tremains Community Trust.
The Volunteer Great Lake Taupō Service Awards are now officially known as Tremains Volunteer Service Awards.
Nominations are now open for the 2025 Tremains Volunteer Service Awards, which will take place in the Great Lake Centre Auditorium following Comavol – Community and Volunteer Expo on Saturday, June 7.
