Speed limit to lower at Motutere
The speed limit on State Highway 1 at Motutere will be lowered following public consultation.
Road works to resume soon
The accelerated roadworks project between Waiouru and Tīrau will start again on September 1 but NZTA Waka Kotahi says there will not be any more 24/7 road closures.
Highway reopening delayed by another week
The section of State Highway 1 between Ātiamuri and Wairakei will remain closed until April 9.
