Apt Collections Q&A

Q: What colours are you loving for Spring/Summer this year?

Becks: Light blue is having such a moment and I'm absolutely here for it. It's fresh, soft and easy to wear, whether it's a beautiful shirt, a flowing dress or paired back with denim.

I'm also loving chocolate. It's rich, sophisticated and a gorgeous alternative to black. We traditionally think of chocolate as an autumn colour, but this season we're seeing it styled with lighter tones, crisp whites and soft blues, which feels incredibly modern, there is a shade of brown for everyone- some cool, warm, soft or deep.

Q: What's the easiest way to update your wardrobe for a new season?

Becks: A beautiful blouse. Every time.

A great blouse can completely transform pieces you already own. Pair it with your favourite jeans, trousers or skirt and suddenly your outfit feels fresh and current. It's one of the simplest and most versatile additions you can make to your wardrobe.

Q: What's your go-to trend for summer entertaining and festive occasions?

Becks: Matching sets are definitely at the top of my list. There's something so chic about a coordinated look. They take the guesswork out of dressing while still looking polished and fashion-forward.

I also love bold prints for summer celebrations. They're joyful, confident and make a statement without trying too hard.

Q: Are there any prints we should be embracing this season?

Becks: Absolutely. Polka dots are back and I couldn't be happier about it.

They're timeless, playful and surprisingly versatile. Whether it's a subtle spot or a bold monochrome print, polka dots add personality while still feeling elegant.

Alongside dots, we're seeing beautiful artistic florals and statement prints that bring colour and energy to everyday dressing.

Q: What trend do you think women shouldn't be afraid to try?

Becks: More colour and more personality.

Sometimes we get stuck wearing what feels safe, but fashion should be fun. Whether it's a bright print, a statement blouse or a matching set, don't be afraid to wear something that makes you smile.

Often the pieces we receive the most compliments on are the ones we were initially nervous about wearing.

Q: What's the secret to looking your best at any age?

Becks: Remembering who you are.

The women I notice most aren't necessarily wearing the latest trend or the most expensive outfit. They're the women who are comfortable in themselves.

We all have things we'd love to change about ourselves, but our imperfections are what make us human. They tell our story.

Confidence comes from embracing who you are, treating yourself with kindness and wearing clothes that make you feel good.

Q: What does true style mean to you?

Becks: Style to me is dress to express not impress, wear things that suit your colouring, lifestyle and body type.

It's about how you carry yourself, how you interact with others and the energy you bring into a room. Kindness, confidence and authenticity will always be more memorable than any outfit.

And most importantly, have fun with fashion. Wear the dress. Try the print. Add the colour.

When you feel good in what you're wearing, it shows.
