Destination Great Lake Taupō is hosting a tourism and hospitality summit later this month.
The Tātou Tātou Tourism Summit on August 20 is open to all local tourism and hospitality businesses.
It features speakers, workshops and an operator-marketplace.
Keynote speakers will include representatives from Tourism New Zealand, Air New Zealand, Hospitality New Zealand and Hamilton Airport.
“The one-day conference will delve into the wider tourism landscape in Aotearoa New Zealand, highlighting the importance of regional collaboration within the visitor economy,” Love Taupō general manager Patrick Dault says.
He says the programme brings together national leaders, industry experts, and regional voices who will share insights, strategies, and practical ideas for shaping the future of tourism in Taupō.
Speakers will explore the key forces shaping the sector, including online travel platforms, AI and digital transformation, social media and destination storytelling, sustainability, industry recognition, and emerging markets.
