DGLT to focus on ‘local engagement’

Victoria Jackson has been appointed to help with public relations and communications.

Destination Great Lake Taupō has added a new role to its team with the appointment of Victoria Jackson in the position of public relations and communications coordinator.

Victoria has a passion for the region gained from years as a holidaymaker at the family holiday home in the district, where she now calls home.

She has already had experience in a similar role with destination and event marketing for Napier’s Art Deco Trust.

With a love of the great outdoors and an active lifestyle, Victoria says promoting a favourite region which is also “a place to indulge in my own pursuits” made for “the ultimate work-life balance”.

She is also a “serious amateur” photographer and wants to integrate this into her work, which will take her to some of the country’s most picturesque places.

Victoria has a Master of Business with a major in Marketing from Massey University.

Destination Great Lake Taupō General Manager, Patrick Dault says Victoria is a welcome addition to the team and will help with marketing and pr efforts, “particularly with local engagement and a keen eye for ‘new news’ on the ground”.
