Crash claims second life
A second person has died following a crash in on Te Heuheu Road in central Taupō on May 29.
Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash just before 6.30pm.
She was 79-year-old Pamela Alexander, from Taupō.
Pamela was transported to hospital with critical injuries but has since died.
“Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time,” a police spokesperson said.
Police earlier named John Preston, 65, of Manukau, Auckland as the other person who died in the crash.
Police are continuing to make enquiries into the circumstances of the crash.
