Concrete surface for popular track

The gravel track down to Otumuheke Stream is being brought up to a higher standard to make it more accessible.

The winding path down to Otumuheke Stream track at Spa Park is being concreted.

The 228-metre path will improve access for wheelchairs, prams, bikes, walkers and runners, replacing the dirt track that is uneven as a result of erosion.

Work has already begun and the council says it will make the path more resilient to weather events and improve safety.

People can still access the river during the work, with signage in place to divert people away from the work.

Work started on Tuesday last week and is expected to take about two weeks to complete.
