Celebrating the best music students
Kaylene Carson, on piano, accompanies Sophie du Plessis at last year's Trinity Concert.
Next week’s Trinity Concert is a celebration of the work local students have put into their Trinity College of London music instrumental exams.
Music tutor and Taupō School of Music principal Jo Paull is urging those interested in music to come along and support Taupō’s aspiring young musicians.
Students will perform pieces prepared for exams. Awards will be presented for the highest exam marks in three grades.
Paull says this year the concert will feature students singing and on piano, cello, violin and flute.
It is sponsored by Alison Whittle of Bayley’s Real Estate, and is on Wednesday, October 14 at the Great Lake Centre, 6pm. Entry by koha.
